Lakewood's 1st and 10, reopened in Spring 2009, is a sports bar in East Dallas. 1st and 10 has an extensive menu of all the American favorites (we recommend grabbing a burger), a decent beer list and, of course, tons of TVs to catch the game!

The Tipperary Inn: Resurrected?

So let me preface this post by saying, this is only a rumor. And it's a grapevine rumor at that, but one that's been brought to us by several independent sources.

It was a sad day back in mid May when the Tipperary Inn suddenly closed its doors. And not because it was a fantastic bar, but more because we lost a good neighborhood pub that was fun to go to for a couple pints.

McSwiggan's Irish Pub is a New England style Irish pub located in The Colony.  While it may be a bit of a ways to drive for those of you not living in the 'burbs, McSwiggan's may just be worth it.  If you happen to be a New England transplant - and a sports fan to boot, then McSwiggan's is definitely your place.  McSwiggan's is the "unnofficial underground Boston pub of Dallas", so head there for all of your New England sports needs.
