The Commissary

The Commissary Dallas Texas Upscale Burgers & Wine Bar

The Commissary is Chef John Tesar's newest entry into the Dallas foodie scene. The restaurant features an approachable, affordable menu of upscale burgers and comfort food eats. What's most surprising, however, is the restaurant's stellar wine list, as picked by several staff sommeliers. The wine list even includes several wines on tap, generally from the Texas area. Happy hours are daily form 4-6 pm, and features both discounted food and drink. The Commissary is exactly what the Arts District needed - approachable and affordable food. Perfect before seeing a show at the ATT PAC!

From the email:

Crush Wine Shop on Knox Henderson is Closing

It's come to our attention that Crush Wine Shop on Knox Henderson has lost its lease, and will thus be closing for the time being. It seems as if it has been undecided if Crush will reopen, and if it does, where. The team at Five O'Clock Dallas have only been to Crush once in the past, but we did enjoy our experience, and are disappointed in the loss of good Dallas wine shop. I've copied the e-mail from the owner, Jim, below.
