Celebrating Oktoberfest in September
Dallas is a long way from Germany. But what's 5000 miles between two places that really, really love their beer? And, as per tradition, this weekend marks a bunch of great Oktoberfest celebrations around Dallas.

This could be you this weekend.
At the top of our list, of course, is Oktoberfest in Addison. Turkey legs, live music and refillable Spaten mugs means we'll be full, entertained and just a little bit tipsy. For a quality pairing, also stop by Bryan Street Tavern this weekend for their day-long Oktoberfest celebration. Specials include $2.50 Spaten Oktoberfest Original, Saint Arnold Oktoberfest, Paulaner Oktoberfest and Flying Dogtoberfest drafts. Cheers!
Busy this weekend? Stop by Old Monk, Idle Rich Pub or Blackfriar Pub anytime this month to try Oktoberfest beers. Right now, get a 1 litre Spaten stein for $15 - and you keep the glass! Need we mention that 1 litre is, oh, 34 ounces? Bottoms up!
If you're waiting until actual October to celebrate Oktoberfest, stop by the Libertine Bar on the 1st (they advise wearing your Lederhosen) and toast to pretzels, sausages and... chicken dancing wait staff? Guess you have to be there to see it! Then, Gingerman Pub keeps the beer flowing on October 3rd from noon to 2 AM, celebrating with live music, German food, games, and, of course, tastings and some quality German brew.
