Oktoberfest Comes to Addison
Addison Oktoberfest is right around the corner in, you guessed it, September. So maybe you didn't guess it, but don't let the misnomer keep you from descending upon Addison September 17 - 20 for food, fun and lots of beer.
According to AddisonTexas.net, Addison Oktoberfest is scheduled to coincide with the opening of the Oktoberfest celebration in Munich, and "more than 60,000 fans of polka, German food and Spaten Bier" will gather in Addison to enjoy "four days of music, folk dancing, sing-alongs, children’s entertainment and more." But don't be scared off by the polka dancing guys in lederhosen. There will be plenty of beer to ensure you have a good time.
There are also several fun events to keep you occupied between beers, including a German Cuisine Tour, beer barrel rolling competitions and even a 5k run for anyone looking to work off that third bratwurst of the day.
Tickets to Oktoberfest are only $5, and food and drink coupons can be purchased at the event.
Let us know below if you'll be attending, and we hope to see you there.
