Best Date Night Bars
A great bar with a fun atmosphere can really take away some of the tension of first dates or add some spice for your 500th. Whatever you’re looking for, Dallas bars and restaurants bring the romance with great specials and classy ambiance.

The Grape (Greenville)
The Grape on Greenville has the best of both worlds. Meeting up for a drink after work? Their happy hour specials let you indulge in some fantastic wine and delicious appetizers. Need something more substantial? The dining room echoes a European getaway, and the food matches the décor.

Bella (Uptown)

Granted, Bella is located in what used to be a burger joint. But, you’d never know. Chef Christopher Short is a magician with food, but be sure to arrive early or get comfy at the bar – they don’t take reservations.

Library Bar (Oak Lawn)
Okay, we’re biased. We spent an evening with Chef Jeff Moschetti at Library Bar, and he’s quite possibly one of the coolest guys on earth. And, what’s more romantic than having dinner in a hotel – with the option to go upstairs afterwards?

Date night on the cheap
We’ve heard the trendy new term is that we’re in the “Great Recession”. Whatever it is, you still have dating to do (right?). If you feel the need to impress, here’s how you can get though dinner at 2 of Dallas’s best restaurants without breaking the bank:

The Mansion at Turtle Creek has half-priced cocktails from 6 PM to 7 PM on weekdays. Pair that with their Sunday-Wednesday dinner special (3 courses for $49) and you’ve got yourself a great night out!

Abacus offers patrons a “Big Daddy Stimulus Package” to make it through – and offers everything from $2 off drinks and half price sushi in the bar to a 4 course dinner for $45 (Monday-Thursday).
