Zymology Closes Its Doors

For those of you who haven't heard, one of lower Greenville's newer establishments, Zymology, has officially closed it's doors. We were first notified via Twitter, after tweeting about one of their happy hours.

While it's surprising to see Zymology close so soon (it opened in January), after digging around the Internet for a bit, it seemed the spot had issues drawing a crowd. We were only able to make it there once - for early St. Patrick's Day festivities. We didn't get a chance to sample the menu, but we enjoyed the beer selection (despite the small pours), and thought they had a fantastic patio. Overall, we're pretty confused as to why the place didn't quite make it. We can't find much of an explanation online, has anyone heard more official word?

Combined with the closing of Lakewood's Tipperary Inn, we've felt the need to create a Fallen Soldiers section of the site for bars that fell by the wayside. If you're ever feeling nostalgic for times gone by, be sure to check out the page!
